Pomerol ist ein Rotwein mit kontrollierter Herkunftsbezeichnung, der in der Stadt Pomerol hergestellt wird. Die Appellation <\/a> ist vor allem f\u00fcr die ber\u00fchmten Weine Petrus, Lafleur, Gazin, La Conseillante usw. bekannt. Die Appellation Pomerol<\/a> produziert ausschlie\u00dflich Rotweine und bei den Rebsorten dominiert Merlot.<\/p>\n

Geschichte<\/h2>\n\n

Im 12. Jahrhundert errichtete der Johanniterorden ein Hospiz, das den Pilgern auf dem Weg nach Santiago de Compostela als Zwischenstation diente. Der Weinberg geh\u00f6rte zu den Zerst\u00f6rungen des Hundertj\u00e4hrigen Krieges und begann im Mittelalter. Nach der Zerst\u00f6rung durch die Reblaus Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts bepflanzten Winzer den Weinberg haupts\u00e4chlich mit Merlot. Im Jahr 1900 wurde die Wein- und Landwirtschaftsunion Pomerol gegr\u00fcndet, 1928 wurden die Grenzen der Appellation <\/a> festgelegt und im Jahr 2011 wurden die Spezifikationen neu herausgegeben.<\/p>\n\n

Der Weinberg liegt in Gironde, in der Region Bordeaux, am rechten Ufer der Dordogne. Es erstreckt sich am Rande des Saint-\u00c9milion-Plateaus. Es ist 785 Hektar gro\u00df.<\/p>\n\n

Klima der Appellation<\/h2>\n\n

Das Klima der Appellation Pomerol<\/a> ist ozeanisch und warm genug, um den Anbau von Weinreben zu erm\u00f6glichen. Der Niederschlag verteilt sich gleichm\u00e4\u00dfig \u00fcber das ganze Jahr. Die Temperaturen erm\u00f6glichen milde Winter und hei\u00dfe Sommer ohne D\u00fcrre.<\/p>\n

Rebsorten<\/h2>\n\n

Die wichtigsten Rebsorten sind Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cot, Merlot und Petit Verdot.<\/p>\n\n

Speisen- und Weinpaarungen<\/h2>\n\n

Pomerols passen sehr gut zu gegrilltem rotem Fleisch wie Rind und Lamm oder zu Pelz- und Federwild wie Hirsch, Wildschwein, Hase, Fasan, Rebhuhn und Ente.<\/p>\n\n

Rang<\/h2>\n\n

Es gibt keine offizielle Klassifizierung der Pomerol-Weine. Einige Autoren und Websites haben versucht, eine Klassifizierung vorzunehmen, aber keine davon wurde jemals offiziell.
