Das Maison Mo\u00ebt & Chandon<\/a> ist ein Champagnerhaus, das 1743 von Claude Mo\u00ebt gegr\u00fcndet wurde. Es ist heute im Besitz der LVMH-Gruppe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claude Mo\u00ebt gr\u00fcndete das Haus im Jahr 1743, das zuvor einem Schriftstellerfreund von Voltaire und Andr\u00e9 Ch\u00e9nier geh\u00f6rte. F\u00fcr jedes seiner Kinder baute er zwei Pavillons, aber auch englische G\u00e4rten und ein Schwimmbad in Form einer Champagnerflasche.<\/p>\n\n\n

1792 \u00fcbernahm der Enkel das Anwesen. Er baute ein privates Herrenhaus in Faubourg de la Folie (heute Avenue de Champagne). So entwickelt es in der N\u00e4he von Kellern und Lagerh\u00e4usern Handelsaktivit\u00e4ten. Im Jahr 1833 wurde Maison Mo\u00ebt zu Maison Mo\u00ebt & Chandon<\/a>, als Jean R\u00e9my Mo\u00ebts Schwiegersohn Pierre Gabriel Chandon de Briailles in die Leitung des Hauses eintrat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dank der Exporte nach Europa verzeichnet das Maison Mo\u00ebt & Chandon<\/a> einen Umsatzanstieg.<\/p>\n\n\n

1962 erwarb Mo\u00ebt & Chandon <\/a>seinen Konkurrenten Ruinart und 1970 Maison Mercier. 1973 investierte Mo\u00ebt & Chandon in Kalifornien mit der Gr\u00fcndung von Domaine Chandon im Napa Valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In den 1950er Jahren exportierte das Unternehmen nach Argentinien und vermarktete Schaumwein, um die Nachfrage neuer argentinischer Kunden zu befriedigen. Weitere internationale Projekte entstanden: Brasilien und Kalifornien im Jahr 1973, Australien im Jahr 1986 und Indien und China im Jahr 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mo\u00ebt & Chandon<\/a> liegt an der Spitze des gr\u00f6\u00dften Champagner-Weinbergs mit 1.190 Hektar. Trauben aus Rebst\u00f6cken machen jedoch nur 25 % der Produktion aus. Das Haus kauft daher Trauben von anderen Eigent\u00fcmern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Damals investierte das Unternehmen mit dem Kauf von Parfums Christian Dior im Jahr 1971 au\u00dferhalb der Weinwelt. Es wandte sich an das Cognac-Hennessy-Unternehmen und gr\u00fcndete die Mo\u00ebt-Hennessy-Gruppe. Dies wurde zum Pionier der LVMH-Gruppe, die 1987 durch die Fusion mit Louis Vuitton entstand.<\/p>\n\n\n
